That did it. So every 3 weeks to month 1/2, when something quits working right, will just reinstall, and go from there...

That reminds me of the Windows 3.1 days about 40 years ago. When things did not work we just reinstalled windows. At that time it was about 8 floppy disks 5.25". Then we got Windows 95 and that was around 8 or 16 3-1/2" disks.
