I meant a mini pc or a rasberry pie
Some small like the sheild i can put with my tv.
Im sure using a pc (laptop) would be good
Point is i thought i had best device using this shield pro!?
Using a device with more ram would that make a difference?

On a side note i notice many flaws with xenon 4k build such as even tho umbrella tv select is set to select source it plays auto
Also the shortcuts for addon trakt and real debrid are screwy!!

Yea, that looks about right, ram is supposed to be used, thats what its for. If you had 8GB of ram, the system would probably utilize 6. Ram is used to speed up the system, the more it has, the more it uses.

"The observation that your NVIDIA Shield is consistently using 70% of its RAM is normal and not indicative of a problem. Modern Android systems are designed to utilize available RAM efficiently by loading frequently used apps and services into memory to improve responsiveness, which means that a high percentage of RAM usage is expected when the system is active.
The 760 MB of free RAM mentioned in a similar case is considered good, as unused RAM is essentially wasted resources.
Therefore, the system is functioning as intended, and the high RAM usage does not correlate with performance issues like stuttering, which are more likely related to other factors such as storage, network, or software configuration."

OK, I think I get some of this. Thank you so here’s the deal I did factory reset my shield. I reinstalled kodi and the build. It seems OK but every time I do something it seems OK. I will continue to keep an eye. Here’s another thing I wanna mention, I always leave the shield on and Cody on. I only turn my TV off and on so when I turn my TV on, I’m ready to kodi menu. Could that be a problem

Can you please explain this storage, network, or software configuration?
Also would i see improvment, speed, efficiency and less issues better? If i went with a rasberry pie 5 or a mini pc something with good amount of storage and least 8 or more gb of ram??

Shield Pro is not the issue, so many people use the Shield without issues, why not try closing Kodi when your done and see if you still have the same problems? Whats it take 15 seconds to open Kodi again? Maybe thats your issue? I dont know, cause I always close Kodi when Im done. No idea about a Pi 5, Im sure Kodi would run great on that, but remember, its a completely different OS than you might be used to (LibreELEC 12.2,), or yea, a mini PC im sure would also run great, but I still dont think the Shield is the issue.

Hey
I am seeing improvment after shield factory reset and kodi install with latest build.
However when streaming i do see up to 90% being used and 200-300 free memory being used.
Can you tell me if this would be good? It seems like worth a shot. I just want 4k hdr and atmos only streaming. So to replace my shield for the following!?
Mini Gaming PC AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS (8C/16T, Upto 5.1GHz) 32GB (Dual Channel) DDR5 RAM 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, AMD Radeon 780M (2700MHz) 2X USB-C Mini Computers with Wi-Fi 6/BT 5.2/4x4K Display/2x 2.5G NIC
